Position: Property Management Data Entry Clerk (Multi-site Portfolio)

FLSA Classification: Full time, Non-exempt

General Classification: Hourly; Full-time,  In-Person - No remote work

Salary: $25-$27 hourly

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Property Management Accounting Clerk to support the financial operations of a Diverse portfolio of properties. This role will report directly to the Controller and involve managing a high volume of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial records for multiple properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, the ability to work under pressure, and the capacity to manage complex accounting tasks across a large portfolio

JOB DUTIES:

Accounts Payable and Receivable for Multiple Properties:

• Process and manage a high volume of invoices from vendors and contractors for multiple properties in the portfolio. Ensure timely and accurate payment processing and proper documentation. Monitor tenant rent collections, apply payments to accounts .

Variance Analysis:

• Compare the T12 results to the prior periods (e.g., month-over-month or year-over-year) to analyze any significant changes in revenue, expenses, or other key metrics. Identify trends, such as rising operational costs, declining rents, or increased vacancies, and flag them for further discussion with the Controller and property managers .

Vendor and Contractor Relations:

• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors. Ensure that invoices are properly reviewed and processed, payments are made in a timely manner, and work orders are appropriately tracked and recorded.

Compliance & Audit Support:

• Assist the Controller in ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and property management policies. Support audit activities by providing necessary documentation and financial reports.

Team Support:

• Assist the accounting team with budgets and software implementation

Qualifications :

• Education:
  High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience:
  Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, ideally in property management or real estate. Prior experience with a large portfolio of properties is highly preferred.

Skills :

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, RealPage) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently for multiple properties.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team setting.
• Problem-solving skills, especially with financial discrepancies.

 

Other Requirements:

• Ability to handle a large volume of work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of property management accounting regulations and industry standards is a plus.

 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
• Occasional lifting of office materials (up to 25 lbs.).

JOB DETAILS:

 

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 Hourly. Additional compensation package includes medical, dental, and vision benefits with the employer covering 75% of costs, 401k with employer match, PTO, and 8 paid holidays.
• Experience: Entry Level to Intermediate

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 p.m. In-person
