We’re hiring a Cardiology Acute Care Nurse PractitionerPart-Time /Contract for Inpatient Consults Across El Paso or a Full-Time Hybrid Role including Inpatients/Outpatients/Research. Broaden your clinical experience, work closely with an experienced cardiologist, and participate in clinical research, while caring for patients with acute cardiovascular conditions. Requirements Provide inpatient cardiology consultations and follow-up care across El Paso-area hospitals. Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and complex cardiovascular conditions. Provide pre-surgical clearances Obtain patient histories, perform physical examinations, and develop evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising cardiologist. Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including laboratory testing, electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, and cardiac imaging. Manage cardiovascular medications and monitor patients’ responses to treatment. Collaborate with hospitalists, nursing teams, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and post-discharge care. Complete timely and accurate documentation within each hospital’s electronic medical record system. Support discharge planning, follow-up coordination, and transitions of care. Participate in clinical research activities, including identifying potential participants and supporting study-related clinical procedures. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements. Participate in rotating call, weekend, or holiday coverage as agreed upon. Active Board Certification is required. Current and Active license to practice in the U.S. 1 or more years of healthcare experience in a U.S. community practice setting, including in cardiovascular disease management.
