YES takes a new approach to manufactured home communities and works to build and maintain an environment in each community that reflects their positive YES attitude.We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to own and evolve the enterprise data platform that powers reporting, analytics, planning, and automation across the company. You'll build scalable pipelines, integrations, and data models that transform operational data into trusted data used throughout the organization.As a key member of our team, you'll help shape the future of our data platform by influencing architecture decisions and modernizing core data infrastructure. Your work will support operational teams, executives, and institutional investors, and you'll partner closely with BI, FP&A, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions that drive better business decisions.At YES Communities, we invest in the people who build our data platform as much as the platform itself. We're building a diverse, collaborative team, and we take pride in watching our engineers grow into the go-to experts on our data and platform.What You'll DoDesign, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and SQL Server to integrate operational data into the enterprise data warehouseDevelop and optimize enterprise data models, views, and semantic layers that serve as the trusted source of truth for reporting and analytics, including modernizing legacy stored procedure logic into more maintainable structuresEngineer and maintain API integrations with third-party platforms and vendor systemsMonitor pipeline health and data quality by implementing automated validation, reconciliation, and alerting so issues are caught before they reach the businessTune query and pipeline performance, and recommend architectural improvements as data volumes and business needs growChampion engineering best practices across the team — version control, code review, testing, and documentation — and contribute to data governance through metadata management, lineage, and metric definitionPartner with BI developers, analysts, FP&A, IT, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into well-modeled, high-performing data solutionsDeliver accurate, timely data that supports recurring operational, financial, executive, and investor reportingEvaluate and adopt modern data engineering technologies, including AI-assisted development tools, where they improve engineering quality, productivity, or platform reliabilityQualifications5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience designing and maintaining production ETL/ELT pipelinesAdvanced SQL skills, including complex query development, performance tuning, and working with large relational datasets in SQL Server or a comparable database platformDemonstrated experience interacting with various business stakeholders and guiding technical peers to appropriate solutionsExperience building and orchestrating pipelines with Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or similar integration toolsExperience developing data models, views, and semantic layers that serve enterprise reporting and analyticsWorking knowledge of API-based integrations with third-party systems and vendor platformsProficiency with version control and engineering best practices, including code review, testing, and documentationStrong communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions for non-technical stakeholdersBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceYour safety matters to us.
