Location: New York City – Flatiron District (Hybrid, 3–4 days onsite)

Salary: $190,000 – $225,000 + Competitive Equity

We're working with an ambitious, high-growth AI healthcare technology company looking to appoint several talented Software Engineers to help develop the next generation of AI-powered healthcare applications.

You'll have significant ownership over product development, working across the full software engineering lifecycle to build scalable, reliable and intuitive applications used by patients and healthcare professionals.

We're particularly interested in engineers who have experience building consumer-facing products from zero to one , rather than solely maintaining or enhancing existing applications.

The Role

As a Software Engineer, you'll work closely with engineering, product and clinical teams to design, develop and deliver innovative healthcare technology solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing new features across web and mobile applications used directly by patients.
• Building consumer-facing products that improve user engagement, retention and overall experience.
• Developing scalable backend services and infrastructure to support a growing AI-powered healthcare platform.
• Building and enhancing applications used by physicians to improve clinical workflows and operational efficiency.
• Integrating AI-powered functionality into healthcare applications.
• Developing integrations with enterprise healthcare organisations, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Supporting healthcare data integrations, including insurance claims processing and Health Information Exchange (HIE) records.
• Working across the full software development lifecycle, from initial concept and architecture through to production deployment.
• Collaborating with product managers, designers and clinical stakeholders to translate business requirements into high-quality software.
• Ensuring applications are scalable, secure, reliable and maintainable.
• Taking ownership of technical decisions and contributing to the future direction of the engineering function.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for talented Software Engineers who combine strong technical capabilities with a genuine passion for building products that solve real-world problems.

Essential experience:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience , ideally within high-growth technology companies.
• Proven experience developing and launching new products or features from concept through to production.
• Strong experience building consumer-facing applications , rather than exclusively internal tools or infrastructure platforms.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, React and Next.js .
• Experience developing backend applications using Node.js.
• Knowledge of mobile application development using React Native.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and modern database technologies.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based application development.
• Experience working with Terraform and Redis.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, application performance and scalability.
• Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver high-quality software in a fast-moving environment.

Desirable experience:

• Experience working within early-stage or high-growth startups.
• Previous experience building zero-to-one products or launching new product lines within established technology companies.
• Experience developing healthcare technology or AI-powered applications.
• Knowledge of Python and additional backend technologies.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and enterprise systems.
• Strong academic background in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
