Day Porters are our company’s biggest ambassadors.  The Day Porter position requires maintaining a professional, clean and attractive environment throughout the day. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

• Consistently maintain a clean and attractive environment in and around the property as required by the building’s operating standards. 
• Consistently maintain a clean and attractive environment in and around the main lobby, including cleaning doors, seating areas, steps, curbs, sidewalks and alleyway. 
• Consistently maintain a clean and attractive environment in and around common areas, including, cleaning of corridors, elevator lobbies, and restocking restrooms. 
• Report any unsafe conditions or property maintenance repairs/conditions to supervisor/manager; perform corrective action as instructed. 
• Replace light bulbs and light tubes on a regular basis 
• Maintain clean stairwells and mechanical rooms as directed by the Chief Engineer 
• Ensure neatness and cleanliness of property by physically walking and removing litter, debris, cigarette butts and other waste on the grounds. 
• Detail property on a regular basis including but not limited to cleaning and raking shrub areas; shoveling mud when necessary; using blower to keep sidewalks and walking area clean of loose grass and debris. 
• Perform interior and exterior painting duties as requested. 
• Complete minor and routine service requests when asked by Property Manager and/or Chief Engineer 
• Take weekly inventory of janitorial supplies and provide the report to the Property Manager. 
• Provide excellent customer service to all tenants. 
• Other duties may be assigned. 

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:  

• High School or GED preferred 
• Ability to use tools such as leaf-blowers, paint brushes, etc. as required for the position 
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from tenants and/or members of the property team. 
• Must be able to demonstrate basic proficiency in the English language both oral and written 
• Must be able to use Outlook and operate a smart phone 
• Ability to exercise good judgement and professional demeaner interacting with building management, tenants, and vendors.  Team player attitude. 
• Projects a professional image by meeting all dress code standards. Uniform to be provided 
• Position requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, bending, reaching, twisting, ascending/descending ladders, and stairs.
