Junior Designer

SAM Construction Group is the construction division for our vertically-integrated developer, SAM Development Group. We specialize in new mid-rise multifamily and luxury home construction. Our structures are concrete and steel, with in-house divisions self-performing a variety of trade craft scopes including grading/excavation, underground wet/dry utilities, concrete/rebar, framing/drywall, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, roofing, landscaping, as well as other scopes. About the role We’re looking for a creative and motivated Junior Interior Designer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their design career to develop their skills, contribute to real projects, and learn from experienced designers/architects. You’ll support the creation of visual materials across digital and print channels, helping bring our brand and ideas to life. Key responsibilities Create design concepts and visual assets for digital and print materials Support the development of marketing campaigns, presentations, and promotional materials Follow brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency Work closely with senior designer, architects, and other internal teams Prepare interior packages including material, appliance and plumbing specs Make revisions based on feedback Organize design files and maintain an efficient workflow Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and best practices Requirements A degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in interior design, architecture A portfolio demonstrating design ability and creative thinking 4+ year's experience in luxury residential design Basic knowledge of design principles, typography, layout, and color Experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Good communication and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines A positive, collaborative, and adaptable attitude Nice to have 3D software experience, rendering skills Experience preparing files for print What we offer Mentorship and professional development opportunities A collaborative and supportive creative environment The opportunity to work on a variety of projects Construction knowledge Salary: $70,000.00 (DOE) This is an in-office position, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm **Must live locally** SAM Group is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
