Job Duties Acts as a department attorney hearing officer, conducting informal hearings as directed by the chapter and statutes. Reviews evidence, laws, and rules prior to hearings, hears testimony, and evaluates evidence. Performs legal research and interprets statutes, regulations, and administrative policies. Prepares legal memoranda, opinions, and orders for matters related to enforcement and licensing. Conducts peer reviews of final orders and provides guidance to hearing officers.
