Overview Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages; checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service features; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; performs related customer service functions; performs other duties as assigned. Working Hours Monday - Friday, occasional Saturday during prime time; shifts and hours are variable, determined by operational needs. Minimum Education High school diploma/GED. Minimum Experience Six (6) months of courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance. Job Conditions Neat appearance required for customer contact. Must meet and maintain the qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for the assigned vehicle type and have a good driving record as outlined in policy. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Pay Starting Pay $ 25.65. Additional Details Monday - Friday Various Shifts.
