Join us!Work Location: 8731 Katy Fwy Suite 100 Houston, TX 77024Work Hours: PRN/As Needed Monday-Friday between 8:00am-5:00pm and occasional Saturdays required(May travel to provide additional coverage at other Houston area centers)The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.Department/Center Highlights:Patient-Focused TeamCohesive and Friendly EnvironmentSupportive and Encouraging AtmosphereHere is what you will need:Texas Medical Board License - TMBCurrent ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic TechnologyContinuing Education: MQSA/FDA - 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist:Provide services and support for the following areas:Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis WayConsistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;Performs other work-related duties as assigned.Why Solis Mammography?A Great Place to Work, earning this prestigious award for multiple years running.At Solis Mammography, we save lives.
