Site Acquisition Specialist

Position Summary

The Site Acquisition Specialist is responsible for securing and managing real estate sites to support wireless network deployment. This role oversees the full lifecycle of site acquisition, including site identification, lease negotiations, zoning and permitting, and coordination with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify candidate sites (rooftops, towers, and ground leases) based on RF design requirements.
• Negotiate lease agreements, amendments, and extensions with property owners and landlords.
• Manage zoning and permitting processes, including application preparation and submission.
• Attend and present at zoning hearings, municipal meetings, and community forums as needed.
• Coordinate with RF engineering, construction, legal, and project management teams.
• Perform site walks, feasibility assessments, and due diligence.
• Track site progress from candidate selection through lease execution and permitting approval.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and status updates in tracking systems.
• Resolve site-related issues, including landlord negotiations, permitting delays, and compliance challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Urban Planning, Telecommunications, or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in site acquisition, real estate, or wireless telecommunications.
• Experience with lease negotiations and zoning/permitting processes.
• Familiarity with wireless infrastructure projects (macro sites, small cells, DAS).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with site tracking tools or GIS platforms is a plus.
