Echo Technologist - Waterbury, CT

As an Echo Technologist, you'll play an essential role in supporting the imaging team by providing accurate and high-quality echocardiograms in a dynamic healthcare environment. Your expertise will contribute directly to patient diagnostics and care coordination alongside a professional clinical staff.


Key Qualifications:

• Current credentialing as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing echocardiograms on adult patients
• Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly desired
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and ultrasound physics
• Exceptional analytical and communication skills to relay findings efficiently
• Ability to maintain accurate records and patient confidentiality
• Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced clinical situations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive echocardiography examinations as ordered by physicians
• Operate and maintain ultrasound imaging equipment, ensuring optimal clarity and safety standards
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to interpret results and support patient care plans
• Accurately document imaging results within electronic medical records
• Prepare equipment and assist patients for procedures, offering thorough explanations and patient comfort
• Maintain a safe, organized, and sanitary work area in adherence to facility protocols
• Participate in department meetings and training to stay current with best practices
