Revenue Cycle Business Informaticist (REMOTE)

OverviewThe Revenue Cycle Business Informaticist is responsible for optimizing and managing the revenue cycle processes through the effective use of the Epic EMR system, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the corresponding financial data. This role involves analyzing, designing, implementing and supporting revenue cycle information systems to enhance operational efficiency, financial performance and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position will also work closely with the Controller to ensure the monthly financial reports are accurate and complete, tie back to Epic data and reflect the business unit/service level detail.ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:Leads or participates in the implementation and optimization of Epic EMR modules related to revenue cycle management, including but not limited to billing, claims, accounts receivable, and patient access.Works with the finance department to ensure data transfer from Epic is accurate and revenue in the accounting system is accurate at the Business unit and service line level.As a Revenue Cycle Builder, configures and customizes the Epic EMR system to meet the specific needs of the revenue cycle processes, providing ongoing support and maintenance for Epic to ensure data integrity and system functionality.Develops and generates regular and ad hoc reports to support revenue cycle operations and decision making.Develops and maintains monthly dashboard of key indicators and external benchmarks as defined by leadership.Analyzes revenue cycle data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement, generating actional insights and recommendations to improve revenue cycle capture and reimbursement.Serves as a subject matter expert and resource for troubleshooting and resolving Epic-related revenue cycle issues.Prepares, interprets and analyzes revenue cycle and financial data.Collaborates with clinical and administrative staff to identify areas for process improvement within the revenue cycle.Conducts reproducible analyses synthesizing data from multiple sources that translate into actionable improvements.Helps identify trends, patterns and opportunities in both revenue cycle and finance.Upholds and ensures compliance and attention to all company policies and procedures as well as the overall mission and values of the organization.Collaborates with teams within our revenue cycle departments to leverage data to solve business problems and design user-friendly reporting solutions.Develops documentation on new and existing analytic processes and workflows.Performs any other duties as needed to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent presentation skills.Experience with relational databases and query tools and statistical software.Ability to manipulate large sets of data in multiple databases.Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and Power BI on a routine basis.Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.Ability to multi-task and meet deliverables timely.Reasoning skills and ability to articulate logic behind data.Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills.Strong understanding of all functions of the revenue cycle and finance structure.Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care through effective revenue cycle management.Ability to develop and maintain favorable internal relationships and partnerships with coworkers at all levels.Ensure all actions, job performance, personal conduct, and communications representCommUnityCare in a highly professional manner at all times.QualificationsMinimum Experience:5 years experience in healthcare revenue cycle setting or finance department working with revenue cycle functions and financial reportingMinimum Education:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Related FieldJ-18808-Ljbffr CommUnityCare
