Join a collaborative anesthesia team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) providing independent, comprehensive perioperative care in Fort Kent, Maine. This CRNA opportunity offers an all-CRNA practice model, a consistent weekday schedule, no call, and a diverse range of surgical cases. CRNA Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $7,920–$8,350
• Employment Type: PRN
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week; 8-hour day shifts
• Hours: 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
• Call: No weeknight or weekend call
• Coverage Period: Beginning December 14, 2026, with weekday coverage blocks through February 26, 2027
• Duration: Approximately 52 weeks
• Practice Model: All-CRNA practice with independent clinical practice and no supervision required
• Healthcare Setting: Perioperative anesthesia care for endoscopy, gynecology, general surgery, and urology
• Electronic Medical Record: Cerner

CRNA Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of CRNA experience; a minimum of 1 year is required
• Active Maine CRNA license; licensing must be active before the application process can begin
• Current AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated ability to practice independently in an all-CRNA anesthesia model
• Experience with general anesthesia and a broad range of perioperative cases
• Current case logs documenting experience with epidurals, spinals, and regional nerve blocks
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient safety

CRNA Responsibilities

• Administer safe and effective general anesthesia and regional anesthesia throughout the perioperative period
• Evaluate patients preoperatively and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
• Provide anesthesia for endoscopy, gynecology, general surgery, and urology procedures
• Perform and manage neuraxial anesthesia techniques, including spinal anesthesia and epidurals
• Perform regional anesthesia procedures, including rectus sheath, quadratus lumborum, femoral/adductor canal, TAP, and interscalene blocks
• Monitor patients intraoperatively and manage airway, hemodynamic, and anesthetic needs
• Provide post-anesthesia assessment and support post-anesthesia recovery care
• Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams while practicing independently within established clinical standards
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Cerner and support a high standard of patient-centered anesthesia care
