Cad Cam Designer

CAD/CAM Designer Fixed Restorations (3Shape)
A well-established full-service dental laboratory in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Designer Fixed Technician with strong expertise in 3Shape to support high-quality fixed restorative workflows. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled digital technician who enjoys hands-on involvement, teamwork, and working in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design crowns and custom abutments using 3Shape, including split-file workflows
- Perform encode decoding and work confidently with scan bodies
- Support implant restorative cases from design through production readiness
- Pre-finish and work with green-state zirconia as needed
- Perform scanning of models and cases when required
- Nest cases for milling (experience with MillBox is a plus)
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure accuracy, quality, and turnaround times
- Maintain high standards for consistency, communication, and case documentation
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Fixed CAD/CAM Designer in a dental laboratory
- Strong working knowledge of 3Shape design software
- Experience with implant workflows, including scan bodies and Encode systems
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with MillBox nesting software
- Cross-training in scanning and production workflows
- Background in full-service lab environments

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated salary: $70,000~$90,000/year, depending on experience
- Health insurance available
