Details ICU setting with a patient population that may include neuro and surgical ICU cases Patient ratio of 1:2 Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (18:30-07:00) Weekend shifts required Floating to like units required based on facility needs, with brief unit orientation provided Option for 36 or 48 hour weekly schedule Requirements Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending NM/Compact accepted if obtained prior to start Current certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, BLS preferred Minimum 1.5-2 years of ICU experience required EPIC charting experience preferred Experience with IV therapy, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration Respiratory skills including ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and suctioning Experience with continuous IV sedation, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, and procedural sedation Neurological care experience including CVA/stroke management; EVD, ICP monitoring, hypothermia protocol, and post neurosurgery management preferred Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure and cardiac dysrhythmias IV insulin protocol experience Additional Information Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU patients, including complex respiratory, cardiac, neurological, and renal cases Facility is part of a larger medical center that includes a dedicated heart hospital First-time travelers are welcome to apply Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted Former staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler Limited RTO auto-approval, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation Onsite orientation includes required non-billable training modules American Traveler Job ID P-728957.
