CanonBoard is the pre-writing logic layer for storytellers and world-builders — the only tool that actively stress-tests your world logic rather than just storing it. Before a single page of script gets written, CanonBoard organizes and interrogates the decisions that define a story world: its rules, characters, and relationships. It surfaces contradictions, gaps, and weak links early, so continuity is a foundational choice instead of a late-stage fix. The platform never makes creative choices for you — it keeps the world fully in the creator's hands. The Role We're looking for a Story Developer to build an original narrative fiction world on CanonBoard from the ground up — and document that process as it happens. You'll develop characters, rules, and canon inside the platform, working through the kind of structural decisions that normally get made off the page, and produce content along the way that shows what that process actually looks like. This is a hands-on development role, not an instructional-writing role. You're not writing tutorials about the tool — you're using it to build something real, in public. What You'll Do Develop an original story world inside CanonBoard: characters, relationships, rules, and canon Work through structural and continuity decisions using the platform's conflict-detection and world-logic tools Document your development process for use in CanonBoard's content channels Collaborate with the CanonBoard team on pacing, direction, and what gets shown publicly Revise and resolve canon conflicts as they surface during development Contract Terms This is a Story Developer agreement, not a standard freelance-writing contract. Demonstrated narrative fiction writing ability — published work, produced scripts, or a strong portfolio of original story development Comfortable being recorded/documented while working, including unscripted moments Familiarity with world-building, canon management, or continuity across film, TV, games, or long-form fiction Able to work independently, hit deadlines, and take direction on what gets shared publicly Bonus: experience in a writers' room or serialized/episodic development #J-18808-Ljbffr CanonBoard
