Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

Location: San Antonio, TX

Number of Beds: 18 bays

Staff Size: 25

Day Shift Staff: 1 CNC, 11 RNs, 1 PCT

Night Shift Staff: Currently 2 RNs on call, transitioning to 24/7 coverage. Recruiting night staff with in-house nurse coverage for night cases.

Patient Ratios: 1:1 for the first 30 minutes or ICU level of care; 2:1 when stable. Two RNs required in the PACU at all times when patients are present.

Type of Equipment: Various standard PACU equipment

EMR: Meditech Magic

Required Experience: 2 years of PACU experience

Competency Level: ICU level of care competency

Preferred Certifications: CPAN, TCAR

Personal Characteristics: Proactive, team player

Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS

Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 2300-0730

On Call: None
