Surgical Technologist

The Surgical Technologist performs a variety of essential duties to assist the circulator and surgeon in the care of patients undergoing surgery. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and sterile environment for the patient at all times under the direction of qualified operating room personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Maintain and ensure a sterile field throughout the surgical process.
• Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to provide optimal patient care.
• Follow all protocols and procedures to comply with State and Federal health regulations.

Shift Information

This is a full-time position requiring day shifts, with the flexibility to work either 8 or 10-hour shifts. Weekend and holiday coverage may be required, along with participation in an on-call rotation, which includes weeknight call once per week and weekend call every fifth weekend.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience requirement: less than 1 year in a surgical environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
