About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Behavioral Health Nursing License: Current Registered Nurse License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience required Description: Position in the Thought Disorder unit specializing in Behavioral Health. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in this specialty. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Work schedule includes every other weekend. No on-call requirement is in place. The clinician may be required to float within scope to meet facility needs. Traveling clinicians are expected to float to any age population as scheduling requires. The unit has an average daily census of 22 patients. There are 22 beds available in the unit. Patient diagnoses include conditions such as Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder. RNs may be required to work as the charge RN during shifts without additional pay. A strong stance is taken against the acceptance of medical marijuana cards. Candidates must pass a drug screening and are not accepted if they test positive for marijuana. RTO requests must be submitted with the profile and will not be granted after submission. Documentation and compliance requirements must be met prior to start. All candidates must possess their permanent Registered Nurse license upon submission. Experience with Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR is preferred. Candidates must be cleared through a fingerprinting process. Travelers are expected to float to any age population when scheduling requires. Modules necessary for orientation and annual compliance will be completed during the onboarding process.
