Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool

Registered Nurse Critical Care

7pm - 7am, every other weekend and holiday rotations, plus 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks.

Assignment Details

Cross-trained for multiple units including medical/surgical, intensive care unit, and emergency room.

Requirements

• Currently licensed by the state as a registered professional nurse.
• BSN required.
• Critical care experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS through AHA or RQI system, and NIHSS required during clinical orientation.
• Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire.
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association and TNCC recommended within 2 years of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy, with experience in electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care that is appropriate to the age of patients on assigned units.
• Assess patient status and interpret data to identify requirements relative to age-specific needs.
• Model teamwork and professionalism in interactions with patients and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle information with discretion.
