Job Title: Production Labor Job Description

This role involves routinely using molds and presses to produce both first part and regular production parts efficiently and independently. You'll work on manufacturing assignments, following written procedures, where recognizing deviations from accepted practices is crucial. A strong ability to collaborate well with team members is essential.

• Set up, operate, and monitor calendering equipment to produce sheet, roll, or layered materials to exact specifications.
• Ensure material quality, consistency, and safety, while maintaining proper documentation.
• Monitor material flow to ensure uniformity, smoothness, and absence of defects.
• Inspect materials using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and roll changes.
• Read and interpret production orders, blueprints, and material specifications.
• Document production data, including thickness readings, lot numbers, and quality checks.
• Collaborate with quality inspectors and production supervisors to resolve material issues.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Operate press machine to create parts using molds.
• Clean and prime parts with appropriate chemicals and solutions.
• Measure stock to ensure correct thickness and length.
• Place various materials in molds, on mandrels, or in build fixtures by hand.
• Weigh stock and scrap for salvage.
• Monitor production for defective parts to ensure early defect detection.
• Use production equipment and tools, such as calipers and scales, regularly.
• Ensure materials handling recordkeeping is completed according to company and ISO standards.
• Maintain work area free of safety hazards and clutter, including area setup and cleanup at the start and end of the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
• Use of hand tools for fabricating parts.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Hand dexterity in production environments.

• Experience with production line operations.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools including calipers, depth gauges, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
• Combination of relevant education and experience is considered in lieu of specific education requirements.

Work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with exposure to variable conditions, such as temperature fluctuations and atmospheric factors like fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or vapors. There is also exposure to solvents and other industrial chemicals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcminnville, OR.

The pay range for this position is $18.30 - $19.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Mcminnville,OR.
