Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated GSE Diesel Mechanic to join our team at DTW Airport, located in Taylor, MI. As a vital part of our operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing ground support equipment to ensure the smooth functioning of airport services. Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered ground support equipment.
Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively.
Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies.
Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in diesel mechanics preferred.
Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in a GSE or aviation environment.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license and ability to obtain necessary certifications.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
