Operations Specialist

North Capital

North Capital is a financial services and financial technology company operating at the intersection of broker dealer services, custody, escrow, and private market infrastructure. We work with some of the most innovative real estate sponsors, alternative asset managers, and fintech platforms in the country. We are hiring an Operations Associate to support the operations team across a wide range of areas. This position will report directly to the Head of Operations. We are seeking a candidate who is highly organized, has a good working knowledge of Excel, and can perform tasks with efficiency. Previous experience in finance/accounting, customer support, Hubspot, DocuSign, and project management would be helpful but is not mandatory. We are seeking someone who has an interest in developing processes and who is willing to provide operational support to many different departments. This role requires high attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and data as well as strong verbal and written communication skills. This is a full-time position located in our Salt Lake City (Midvale), Utah office. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring transaction queues, tracking money movements, preparing and reviewing operational reports, and maintaining detailed documentation. The role also involves contributing to process improvements, assisting with project execution, and supporting client‑facing teams with operational inquiries. Responsibilities Provide support to the escrow and custody operations team – participate in and manage mission‑critical projects/reconciliations, organize and maintain records and files, respond to customer support tickets, perform escrow data‑entry/maintenance and daily escrow/banking uploads to the North Capital escrow system. Support the customer support team – pull reports and reconcile information across different systems, provide customer support and manage ticket queues. Overall data maintenance – review and clean up logs and tracking. Identify potential weaknesses in processes and propose solutions to improve the process; offer ideas and develop strategies to improve operational efficiency. Input and track data in Excel with a high degree of accuracy. Communicate with clients and assist them where needed. Other duties as assigned, including tasks to assist the operations teams. Willingness to research technical and industry subjects and take initiative to complete any assigned office tasks. Skills Required Detail‑oriented and solutions‑focused. Ability to follow a specific process with consistency. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate in a small group setting, across teams, and with customers and banking partners. Proven organizational and analytical skills. Ability to analyze information and apply methodical steps to review data. (Preferred but not required) Experience using Google Suite, Dropbox, Hubspot, DocuSign, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Mac environment. To receive exposure to a broad range of the securities business, with excellent training and mentoring; Ability to obtain securities licenses (Series 7, 63, 24).
