Assistant Project Manager (Construction & Technical Operations)

Role Overview
We are seeking an organized, driven, and analytical Assistant Project Manager to partner alongside our Project Management team in driving large-scale construction and technical infrastructure projects. In this role, you will employ structured project integration, quality, risk, and resource management processes to ensure capital projects achieve their safety, cost, schedule, and performance objectives.

This is a dynamic project leadership and coordination role for an aspiring professional who excels in fast-paced construction environments. You will monitor project costs and schedules, issue regular operational reports, support field technical operations, and facilitate seamless coordination across multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Lifecycle Management
• Integration Management: Apply comprehensive project integration processes to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and successfully transition projects to operational status while aligning resources for optimal productivity.
• Cost & Schedule Control: Monitor project costs, estimate and manage budgets, track schedules, and maintain performance metrics using advanced project management information systems (PMIS) and dashboards.
• Risk & Procurement Oversight: Employ risk management methodologies to identify threats, execute mitigation strategies, and utilize procurement proficiencies to manage third-party contracts and deliver objective value.
• Quality & Environmental Governance: Ensure strict adherence to quality management processes, safety protocols, and environmental objectives across all project phases.

Field Support & Stakeholder Coordination
• Technical Support & Reporting: Provide field technical support for project teams, assist with training and policy documentation, and issue regular reports covering weekend coverage, project accruals, and progress metrics.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage project stakeholders effectively, manage expectations, resolve conflicts using situational leadership, and drive contractor performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, construction, and vendor teams under stringent deadlines and changing field conditions.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education & Experience Baseline:
oBachelor's degree in a technical discipline plus a minimum of 2 years of technical experience, OR
oEquivalent combination totaling 5+ years of experience in project management, architectural engineering, construction management, or technical operations.
• Technical & Functional Mastery:
oWorking knowledge of project management methodologies, processes, tools, and project management information systems (PMIS), including scheduling, risk, and cost management software.
oProven ability to monitor project scope configuration, manage deliverables, and integrate project controls.
oValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Work Conditions & Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, travel to field offices or active jobsites as required, and operate safely in industrial or construction environments (exposure to high noise, dust, varying temperatures, and confined spaces).
• Core Competencies: Strong cognitive, interpersonal, and communication skills; proven conflict-resolution abilities; capability to perform efficiently under tight deadlines.

Preferred Attributes
• Direct background supporting large-scale construction, utility, or capital infrastructure projects.
• Prior experience acting in a Construction Manager (CM), Project Engineer (PE2), or Senior Project Developer capacity.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or specialized training in project controls and earned value management.
