Overview Pay Rate: $15.00/hr - $17.65/hr Non-Teaching Rate and up to $23.10/hr Total Teaching Rate depending on background and experience. The pay ranges are provided in compliance with state-specific laws and may differ by location. Guitar Center is a music retailer focused on helping customers explore creativity through music. As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons following the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum, work to increase student count, and help students grow, develop, and enjoy playing music while upholding our culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. Responsibilities Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs Teach students utilizing the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum Assist with customer service as needed, helping to build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience Additional duties as assigned Partner with all students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships, and leveraging parental input as part of the teaching process Communicate progress with students and/or parents, and share goals and progress frequently Requirements Previous experience in music, education, or a related field Ability to teach the instrument in which the candidate is proficient (e.g., drums, guitar, keyboard, etc.) Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area to be taught Guitar Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer and provides fair and equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status.
