Mammographer

PositionSummary The Mammographer performs all diagnostic mammography examinations that create the images needed for diagnosis. The Mammographer integrates scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information. Primary Position Responsibilities

1. Performs diagnostic mammography including positioning, machine set-up, radiation exposure technique, image acquisition and post-processing.
2. Follows all National Patient Safety Goals.
3. Provides recordkeeping of patient history and symptoms.
4. Reviews orders, explains procedure, answers questions and provides a high level of patient satisfaction.
5. Maintains cleanliness of department and assures adequate supply inventory.

Qualifications Required High school degree/equivalent Preferred Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Sciences Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required None Preferred 1-2 years Radiography experience License, Registry or Certification Required ARRT Registry in Radiography and Mammography required or registry-eligible (We are open to train an x-ray tech) HHS Hunterdon Healthcare System Inc., 121 Route 31, Flemington, NJ Full-time Monday-Friday 8am-430pm , Day shift Hiring Range: $42.62 - $53.28 Hourly Hunterdon Health is committed to providing a competitive benefit package to our employees.
