Our partner is looking for a Physics Subject Matter Expert (AI Training) based in United States. This is a specialized contractor role focused on applying deep physics expertise to improve next-generation AI systems. You will work on evaluating scientific content, ensuring technical accuracy, and refining complex physics materials used in model training. The role combines scientific rigor with applied problem-solving in a fast-evolving AI environment. You will contribute directly to the quality of datasets that power advanced reasoning models. Work is fully remote, offering flexibility and collaboration with distributed teams. The environment values precision, clarity, and strong domain expertise over prior AI experience. Accountabilities In this role, you will apply your physics expertise to improve AI training data and model performance: Evaluate and annotate scientific content, including equations, datasets, and experimental findings across multiple physics domains. Review technical materials for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and logical consistency to ensure high-quality AI inputs. Develop and refine problem sets, explanations, summaries, and structured scientific documentation. Assess AI-generated outputs for correctness, reasoning quality, and scientific rigor, providing actionable improvements. Identify gaps, ambiguities, and inconsistencies in AI physics content and contribute to dataset enhancement. Collaborate remotely with project teams and subject matter experts to ensure delivery quality and consistency. Requirements We are looking for a strong physics professional with solid academic and analytical foundations: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Physics or a closely related discipline. Strong understanding of Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Thermodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, and Modern Physics. Experience producing technical writing such as research papers, reports, or scientific documentation. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail. Ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly in written and verbal formats. Comfortable working independently in a remote, structured, and collaborative environment. Nice to have: Experience in computational physics, modeling, experimental design, or data analysis. Exposure to scientific publishing, literature review, or research environments. Ability to communicate technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences. Interest in AI systems and how domain expertise improves model performance.
