Production Worker
This role supports a busy manufacturing plant that produces bathroom sinks, countertops, showers, and bathtubs for new homes and renovations. You will work on the production line measuring, pouring, sanding, and finishing cultured marble and solid surface products, using hand tools to ensure high-quality, polished results. The position requires consistent attention to detail, physical stamina, and comfort working in a hot, dusty, and loud non-climate-controlled environment on a daytime schedule.
Responsibilities
- Measure, pour, and prepare materials used to manufacture bathroom sinks, countertops, showers, and bathtubs.
- Buff, sand, polish, and finish cultured marble and solid surface products to meet quality standards.
- Operate small hand tools, including buffers, grinders, and other basic production tools, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Inspect finished products for defects or imperfections and ensure they meet quality assurance requirements.
- Package completed products securely for storage and shipment, including loading and stacking as needed.
- Use a tape measure accurately to verify dimensions and ensure products meet specified measurements.
- Perform general production and general labor tasks as assigned to support overall plant operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, managing dust, debris, and materials safely.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working in a hot, dusty, and sometimes loud environment.
- Lift, move, and handle materials and finished products weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience working in a non-climate-controlled environment, such as a hot or dusty production or warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift and consistently handle up to 50 pounds safely throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail when measuring, sanding, polishing, and inspecting products.
- Ability to use basic hand tools, including buffers, grinders, and similar production tools.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for production measurements.
- Reliability and consistency in attendance to support production schedules.
- Comfort working in a loud, dusty, and somewhat dirty manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in general production, manufacturing, or general labor roles.
- Experience in packaging, packing, loading, or similar material handling tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a team of production workers in a plant environment.
- Willingness to learn new production processes and follow detailed instructions.

Work Environment
The role is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing plant that is hot, somewhat dirty, and dusty, with some areas that can be loud. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional overtime on Saturdays when needed. Approximately 45 people work in the plant, creating a busy but close-knit production environment. Employees work around resin, dust, paint, and other materials that can stain or damage clothing. The dress code consists of jeans or shorts of appropriate length, a t-shirt, and steel-toe boots for safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wentzville, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
