We're hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.As a Facilities Technician at Neros, you will support day-to-day facility operations, preventative maintenance, repairs, incident response, and small infrastructure projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work directly with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, compressed air, and general building systems to keep our manufacturing, laboratory, and office spaces safe and operational. This is a highly hands-on role that moves between preventative maintenance, troubleshooting facility issues, supporting equipment installations, responding to incidents, and completing small facility improvements. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with their hands, troubleshooting problems independently, operating facility equipment, and supporting manufacturing teams in an environment where priorities can change quickly.ResponsibilitiesFacilities Maintenance & Preventative MaintenancePerform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on facility equipment and infrastructureMaintain and inspect air handling units, HVAC equipment, compressors, compressed-air systems, electrical panels, pumps, fans, motors, plumbing systems, exhaust systems, lighting, receptacles, doors, and general building systemsIdentify equipment deficiencies and perform or coordinate corrective maintenanceTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility issuesMaintain clean, safe, and organized mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, storage spaces, and work areasDocument preventative maintenance and repair activities in the applicable maintenance systemSupport outside service vendors performing specialized maintenance and inspectionsIncident & Emergency ResponseRespond quickly to facility alarms, outages, leaks, equipment failures, and other operational incidentsTroubleshoot facility problems in the field and safely isolate affected equipment or areas when necessarySupport emergency response activities and restoration of facility systemsEscalate technical issues appropriately while supporting Facilities Engineers and vendors during troubleshootingParticipate in occasional after-hours support for facility emergencies, construction activities, planned maintenance, and shutdownsSmall Projects & Manufacturing SupportSupport small construction and infrastructure modifications throughout the facilityAssemble and install furniture, lab benches, shelving, workstations, storage systems, and facility equipmentSupport manufacturing equipment moves, staging, installation, anchoring, and utility connectionsPerform small plumbing and compressed-air modifications within training and authorizationSupport installation and relocation of electrical receptacles and 120V power drops where appropriately trained and authorizedInstall equipment supports, hangers, mounting hardware, and other facility componentsSupport workspace reconfigurations, laboratory buildouts, manufacturing area changes, shutdowns, and utility tie-insAssist Facilities Engineers and Project Engineers with field verification and implementation of facility improvementsFacilities Equipment & Material HandlingSafely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and other Facilities equipmentMove equipment, furniture, materials, and facility suppliesPerform routine inspections and basic maintenance on Facilities equipment including forklifts and scissor liftsMaintain organized tools, spare parts, consumables, and material storage areasSupport receiving and inventory of facility maintenance materials and spare partsSafety & Vendor SupportCoordinate and escort vendors performing facility work as requiredPrepare work areas for contractor and maintenance activitiesSupport inspections and scheduled vendor maintenanceFollow applicable EHS procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, PPE requirements, and safe work practicesIdentify and report facility hazards and unsafe conditionsMaintain safety equipment, signage, barricades, and facility safety infrastructure as neededYou should have the following3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, building operations, mechanical or electrical trades, construction, or a similar hands-on roleHands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or building infrastructureExperience performing preventative maintenance on facility or industrial equipmentComfortable troubleshooting equipment and facility problems in the fieldComfortable using hand tools, power tools, meters, and common maintenance equipmentComfortable building and installing furniture, workstations, shelving, and lab benchesComfortable operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and other material-handling or access equipment, or willing to obtain required certificationsAbility to safely perform physically demanding work including lifting, climbing ladders, working from lifts, and working in mechanical or industrial spacesStrong attention to safety and ability to follow established proceduresReliable, responsive, and able to manage multiple work requests in an active manufacturing environmentStrong communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively with Facilities, Security, Manufacturing, Engineering, EHS, and vendorsNice to haveTrade background in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical maintenance, millwright work, carpentry, or similarExperience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, industrial, laboratory, or production environmentsExperience performing minor compressed-air piping modificationsExperience performing small plumbing repairs or installationsExperience installing or relocating 120V receptacles and power drops where appropriately trained and authorizedExperience anchoring manufacturing or laboratory equipmentExperience maintaining forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, or similar operational equipmentFamiliarity with electrical panels and basic electrical troubleshootingExperience with CMMS or work-order systemsOSHA, forklift, scissor-lift, NFPA 70E, LOTO, or similar safety training or certificationUS Salary Range$27.00 - $53.85/hr USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
