ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT (FULL TIME)

Full time Accounting Assistant – Canteen – 2335 Union Avenue, Sheboygan, WI 53081. Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Full time). Fixed pay rate: $19.00 per hour. Requirements: previous accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support payroll processing and data accuracy. Assist with system closing and reconciliation. Maintain and update inventory records. Support the Accounts Payable function (e.g., check runs, review entries). Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment. Respond to vendor inquiries. Maintain reports, spreadsheets, and accounting files. Research and solve payment discrepancies. Make adjustments to accounts as necessary. Prepare bank deposits and complete bank reconciliations. Follow up on aging accounts. Prepare and maintain financial and business transactions. Assist with reporting to support month‑end accounting close entries; prepare various account reconciliations. Develop and run queries using Access and Excel. Prepare other accounting‑related reports and accounting duties as requested. Perform other duties as assigned.
