Accounting Manager

Title: Accounting Manager Company: Construction Industry Compensation: $60-72/hr (DOE) Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a team of three accounting professionals while overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process; review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements to ensure GAAP compliance and accuracy. Support budgeting, forecasting, process improvements, internal controls, and accounting policies and procedures. Oversee payroll processing, payroll accounting, tax reporting, W-2/1099 filings, and compliance with applicable regulations. Manage accounts payable operations, including vendor payments, employee reimbursements, expense reporting, and vendor onboarding. Serve as the primary contact for external audits, coordinate audit support, and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices. Education & Experience Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities. Hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, AP, payroll, financial reporting, and external audits. Construction, engineering, project-based, or professional services industry experience preferred.
