(ETAS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Professional Project Services, Inc. (Pro2Serve) dedicated to supporting the Department of Energy (DOE) Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office (PPPO). ETAS provides technical and management services contributing to the safe and cost‑effective implementation of the "One PPPO" mission. Job Description The qualified candidate will work with a team of support staff to resolve end‑user phone, chat, and e‑mail requests for computer‑related issues including operating system, application, system, device configuration, and performance issues. This role will provide primary troubleshooting and expertise for PC imaging, keep images current and patched, and recommend PC hardware to support a standardized hardware plan, as well as assist with IT hardware lifecycle planning and phased hardware refreshes across the organization. The Senior System Administrator is a senior technical specialist with lead responsibility for design, implementation, and sustaining operation of the PPPO IT and communications networks. Responsibilities include deployment and maintenance of a wireless network infrastructure at all three PPPO sites (Portsmouth, Paducah, and Lexington), providing service for internal, employee, and guest network connectivity for PPPO federal and contractor support personnel, managing the mobile enterprise (Android and Blackberry UEM), and providing system upgrades, storage management, patching, and backup. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (IT) from an accredited college or university and five or ten years of experience in network and server administration Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID) Experience designing, deploying and maintaining VMware DataCenter, Horizon View, and network storage Expert level experience designing, deploying and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory and related infrastructure systems including Exchange, File Servers, MDM management, SharePoint and PKI Detailed knowledge of networking, Linux, and Cisco equipment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to work independently or in a team environment High degree of professionalism in deliverables and interactions with employees and client personnel Preferred Qualifications VMware Certifications Microsoft Certifications Cisco Certifications Federal Government Clearance This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance, including background investigation and drug screening. Subsequent reinvestigations may be required.
