Transportation Project Manager

Oxford Solutions is partnering with a civil engineering consulting firm to hire a Project Manager (Transportation Infrastructure) for a direct hire opportunity. This is a leadership role for an experienced civil engineer who thrives on delivering roadway and transportation improvement projects from concept through construction.

This position offers the opportunity to oversee complex transportation assignments, guide technical teams, and serve as a key client contact. If you are ready to take full ownership of projects while continuing to grow your leadership and technical expertise, this is an excellent next step.

Responsibilities

Lead transportation engineering projects including roadway, highway, traffic, and related infrastructure improvements
Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and staffing to ensure successful delivery
Oversee QA/QC processes and conduct technical reviews of plans, specifications, and bid documents
Coordinate with internal design teams, subconsultants, and public agencies to maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle
Serve as primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and managing expectations
Support proposal development and contribute to business development initiatives
Guide and mentor engineers and technical staff, promoting collaboration and accountability
Ensure compliance with applicable DOT standards and safety regulations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
7+ years of transportation design and project management experience
Experience managing roadway, highway, traffic, or related transportation projects
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain
Working knowledge of state DOT standards (PennDOT and/or NYSDOT experience preferred)
Proficiency with MS Office; MicroStation experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and contribute to project pursuits
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
