Contract | Full-Time | Days | 3x12s | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Function as a vital member of the OR team, assuming responsibility for the scrub position during surgical interventions across a variety of surgical services
• Set up and maintain a sterile field, implementing technical and aseptic practices in accordance with AORN Standards
• Demonstrate knowledge and proper use of surgical equipment, instrumentation, suture, and stapling devices
• Accurately perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts at appropriate times and save/properly identify all specimens per department policy
• Follow appropriate procedures for obtaining, returning, cleaning, and disposing of equipment, and report faulty equipment or unsafe conditions
• Demonstrate the ability to handle emergency situations and prepare according to surgeon preference cards and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Current Washington State Surgical Technologist license required
• National Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (CST) required
• BLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology
• Experience with craniotomies and neurosurgery is required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency across multiple surgical service lines
• Experience in a high-acuity or hospital-based OR environment
