Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care Med-Surg Adult Shift Information 12-hour day shifts, including weekend rotation. The candidate must agree to participate in a call rotation and take one call shift per two-week period as needed based on staffing requirements. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Acute Care/Med-Surg Adult unit is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients. The RN will utilize specialized knowledge and expertise related to critical disease states to effectively plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care, applying the nursing process in all aspects. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to individuals in the Med-Surg and Observation Unit. Participate in patient assessments and care planning. Administer medications and monitor patient responses. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Uphold safety and compliance standards within the unit. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in Acute Care, Med-Surg, Telemetry, or a related nursing field is required. Current RN License to practice in Colorado. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association. Current Flu Vaccine with no exemptions; proof required at the time of application.
