FOOD SERVICES DEPARTMENT - PATIENT

Under the general supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, the Dietary Aide prepares and serves menu items listed in the job specific duties for the Kitchen, Prep, Ward, and Cafeteria. All Aides constantly and consistently, work towards attaining the department objective to prepare and serve high quality, safe, appealing, and nutritionally adequate meals service to its Patients and customers, in a cost effective manner.

Key responsibilities include:
• Serves patients on the wards their food and nourishments
• Collects and deliver water jugs, and trays from patients rooms
• Delivers trays to patients throughout KEMH as required
• Practices high standard of sanitation and safety when cleaning kitchens and serving areas
• Prepares menu items for meal service
• Any other duties that may be required to service our patients


Qualifications &/ Registration required:
• Bermuda "Clean Kitchen" programme certificate would be advantageous
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year's hospitality with quantity food production experience preferred
• Knowledge of sanitary standards of food service
• Previous experience working in a kitchen and team orientated work, is preferable but not essential. Must be pleasant and courteous


Schedule : On an as need basis


Shifts : 7:00am-3:00pm; 7:00am - 7:30pm; 6:30am-2:30pm; 8:00am-4:00pm; 9:00am-6:00pm; 10:30am-6:30pm, 11am-2pm and 4:15pm-7:30pm. You will be scheduled as needed for the efficient management of operations.


Salary Grade: BI02 $31.98 per hour
