Desktop Engineer/Support - Frankfort, KY

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Engineer/Support with hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, and repair within Windows-based environments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide timely support to end users.

Status : Onsite
Job Description
Hours:
8 am - 5 pm (the position will have a desk at 1266 Louisville
Road, Frankfort). The position requires physical work on equipment in the
Frankfort CABINET locations. Travel away from Frankfort will be
necessary, and a CABINET IT Pool vehicle will be provided.
- Main responsibility is to administer CABINET Desktops, Notebooks, and Mobile Data Terminals (and accompanying equipment).
- Hardware and software support, including specialized law enforcement software and devices.
- Assist with IT equipment in CABINET cruisers.
- Work with vendors for support on workstation issues.
- Coordinate with Tier 1 and 3 personnel on support issues
- Work with the IT Ticket System
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned or needed by the agency.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Windows desktop operating systems support client hardware and software, including Office 365 applications
- Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere
- Ability to create technical documentation
- Provide Tier 2 support to other personnel in the IT Branch
- Ability to receive training and retain new knowledge
- Ability to be professional and courteous
