Professional Staff Nurse - Rotating Shift

Job Description

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team. This role is responsible for setting standards for the level and quality of nursing care while managing patient care activities through independent judgment and collaboration with the care team. The Professional Staff Nurse demonstrates leadership, partnership, and advocacy in delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction efforts.
• Utilize research and evidence-based practices to enhance clinical care.
• Apply the nursing process within a Relationship Based Care framework to foster a healing environment.
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans with patient involvement.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Deliver patient education and support throughout the care continuum.
• Foster collaborative relationships within the care team and adapt to changes in practice.
• Engage in professional development and teaching opportunities for peers and new staff.
• Identify and report safety hazards to maintain a safe work environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) License is required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Completion of PA Act 31, 33, 34, and 73 clearances.

Schedule

This position requires a rotating shift schedule of 12 hours over a 3-day workweek. Guaranteed hours are available.
