Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Make a difference every day. The Arkansas Center for Independence is seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). In this rewarding role, you'll provide support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice, and community inclusion. What You'll Do Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry. Support medication routines and follow individualized care plans. Encourage independence by teaching life skills and promoting personal growth. Plan and participate in recreational, social, educational, and community activities. Provide safe transportation to appointments, community outings, and other activities. Monitor individuals' well-being, document services, and communicate with supervisors and families as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment. Respond appropriately to emergencies and ensure the health and safety of those in your care. What We're Looking For Compassionate, patient, and dependable individuals who enjoy helping others. High school diploma or GED (experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus). At least 21 years of age. Valid Arkansas driver's license and a safe driving record. Ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals with mobility and personal care. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Why Join Our Team?
