Location 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102 Contact & Position Roger Len, Superintendent Per Diem Principal Mentor (Various Locations, pending availability of funds and Board of Education approval) Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience as a principal in an urban setting. Proven record of success as a principal with clear evidence of student growth. Proven record of success in working in an urban setting. Ability to mentor and provide support to aspiring leaders. Principal Certification required. Preferred: Experience working in the Newark Board of Education. Basic Functions and Responsibilities Allocate time for regular meetings with principals throughout the year. Meet with school‑based administrative teams as needed. Observe and coach the practices of current principals. Assist principals in identifying and solving problems. Review relevant school data and documentation. Assist principals with tracking progress against standards. Consult with supervising Assistant Superintendent. Other duties as assigned.
