This team is responsible for automating and improving the testing efficiency of both the individual avionics and the completed satellites.WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:Architect and lead the deployment and utilization of our internal test automation platform for future spacecraft programsOwn test automation for Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) team test campaigns across the entire program life cycleDevelop, review, and maintain automated test processes for spacecraft hardware and software validation, establishing best practices and coding standardsIntegrate and automate test equipment and spacecraft interfaces into the test platform, making architectural decisions on telemetry, command, and data managementContribute to core platform development, including backend services and test framework capabilitiesYOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SENIOR AVIONICS AUTOMATION TEST ENGINEER I5+ years of experience in space systems, ideally with spacecraft test, systems, or spacecraft software background4+ years of professional programming experience with Python or similar languages in distributed application contextsStrong Linux systems knowledge and command-line proficiencyExperience mentoring or leading other engineers Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical disciplineWillingness to obtain and maintain a top secret clearanceTHESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:An existing secret or top secret clearanceProduction experience with Python backend developmentHands-on experience with RobotFramework or similar test automation frameworksExperience with software deployment and orchestration tools such as Docker and KubernetesExperience with networking, IT infrastructure, and systems administrationExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing infrastructureExperience with spacecraft communication protocols and bus interfacesThis position may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas.Anticipated annual equity grant value is designed around function, level, experience, and other factors; realized value depends on vesting and stock-price performance.Join one of the world's fastest-growing space companies and own a piece of it.
