Seasonal Reservationist

We offer daily tours of Elliott Bay and the Ballard Locks to Lake Union, as well as charters for weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, and more. The Shoreside Operations team is hiring Reservationists! This position is great for someone who loves chatting with new people and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Primary day-to-day duties are selling our picturesque tours to guests and providing exceptional hospitality in person and over the phone to our cruise and gift shop patrons.

We are hiring crew members for the spring and summer with orientation classes scheduled biweekly beginning in early April and continuing into July. If you're a student, we'd be happy to have you apply now and start later!

Pay Range: $20.00/hr - $21.50/hr + paid sick time, company-provided monthly transportation subsidy, complimentary cruises with Argosy Cruises

Responsibilities

• Actively create sales opportunities by engaging with guests and presenting tour options and upgrades
• Provide warm and engaging greetings to all who enter our reservations center
• Conduct gift shop transactions
• Coordinate with Harbor Team to ensure the timely queuing and boarding of guests
• Help guests requiring assistance to ensure they safely navigate the pier, floating docks, and ramps in accordance with ADA standards
• Perform light janitorial duties
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of customer service experience
• Successfully pass a post-offer background check.
• Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in clear English
• Ability to competently perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide) to make change with or without a calculator
• Intermediate computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Tasks and Calendar
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to push and pull wheeled objects up and down steeply inclined ramps
• Manual dexterity to handle tickets, bills and coins and operate computers
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time, as well as walk to various locations as needed
• Ability to work in variable weather conditions/work environments, including outdoors
• Ability to navigate docks, piers, ramps and ship decks
