Senior Structural Engineer/DesignerResponsibilities/Project Types/QualificationsCreating structural designs for various project categories such as manufacturing, distribution, data centers, commercial spaces, self-storage facilities, churches, historical buildings, public sector projects, retail establishments, adaptive reuse structures, and renovations, as well as conducting assessments of existing facilities.Engaging with clients, participating in meetings with clients, architects, and contractors, reviewing structural plans, overseeing and guiding junior staff.Generating design calculations and supervising the creation of construction documents, reviewing shop drawings and submissions, conducting site assessments, and preparing responses to requests for information.Coordinating information among different departments to guarantee that deliverables meet client expectations and company quality standards.Proficiency in wood, steel, load-bearing light gauge steel, concrete, post-tensioned concrete, and masonry design for structures of varying heights.Required experience in designing shallow and deep foundation systems.Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering.Self-motivated individual who is open to learning, listening, and enhancing skills.Professional licensure is mandatory.Expertise in seismic design is necessary.Capability to recognize relevant codes in specific project locations and apply them accordingly.Familiarity with Revit is desirable.Adept at working in a dynamic team setting, managing multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines, and successfully completing each one.Proficiency in industry-standard software, including Microsoft products, Bentley products (RAM), RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, etc.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are essential.Experience or ability in project management is a requirement.Demonstrated leadership skills within a team setting.
