Job Title: Equipment Operator

Job Description

This role oversees daily yard operations by safely operating wheel loaders, forklifts, and industrial saws while performing a variety of general labor tasks. The equipment operator moves, loads, and organizes bulk materials, prepares orders, and supports production activities in a fast-paced, outdoor industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate wheel loaders safely to move, load, and organize bulk materials throughout the yard.
• Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport materials, and maneuver safely in tight yard spaces.
• Use industrial saws to cut lumber and wood products to precise specifications.
• Perform general yard labor, including cleanup, staging materials, and supporting daily yard operations.
• Read and interpret work orders to select correct materials and prepare loads for shipment or production.
• Build wood boards, dunnage, and supports used for steel handling and transport.
• Load and unload trucks, working with drivers to secure loads and ensure accurate inbound and outbound documentation.
• Use a tape measure to accurately measure materials to meet production and customer requirements.
• Operate hand and power tools, including drills, saws, grinders, and nail guns, safely and efficiently.
• Perform all duties outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
• Collaborate closely with yard crew, drivers, and supervisors to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
• Cross-train on multiple pieces of equipment and tasks to support overall yard needs.

Pay/Shift:

Hybrid 1st/2nd Shift. 40-60 hours per week.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camp Hill, PA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Camp Hill,PA.
