Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the organization's financial operations by maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial reports, processing accounts payable and payroll, and ensuring compliance with healthcare accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role works closely with the Controller to support month-end close, budgeting, and day-to-day accounting functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, related field, or in process of obtaining.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Experience processing accounts payable and payroll preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and healthcare accounting practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft suite products.
• Experience with ERP and payroll systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

• Healthcare or medical practice accounting experience.
• Understanding of payroll tax compliance and benefit deductions.
• Experience with electronic payment systems and vendor management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
