Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Systems in Pontiac, MI Pay Rate: $18.68 / Hour Job Schedule: Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor access control points, verify credentials, manage visitor registration, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site requirements. Control access to restricted areas by reviewing authorizations, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and reporting access discrepancies to the appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols of the technology location, including entrances, perimeter areas, and access points, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
