Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking an Application Architect III to join their team. As an Application Architect III, you will be part of the Market Risk Technology department supporting global risk management initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent collaboration abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid -3 days onsite per week)
What's the Job?
- Lead the development and ownership of work streams with business and technology stakeholders to address complex business problems.
- Partner with global teams such as Global Markets Financial Risk, Global Risk Analytics, and Model Risk Management to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Propose innovative technology solutions, facilitate stakeholder agreement, and oversee the cost estimation and budgeting processes.
- Develop prototypes using Python, SQL, Excel/VBA to demonstrate solutions and support decision-making.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing, manage releases, migrations, and track defect resolution to ensure smooth project delivery.
What's Needed?
- Extensive experience in Market Risk, Risk, or Front Office roles within financial markets.
- Strong knowledge of financial products and regulatory landscape affecting risk management.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, VBA, and Python for data analysis and solution development.
- Experience with Agile SDLC methodologies and all phases of project lifecycle.
- A degree in Computer Engineering, Finance, or a related field with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
