Overview Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices - Automotive Mechanics is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Pearland, TX area. Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States, with over 2,000 locations. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. Perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks. Complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount/mount/rotate/balance tires. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old; legally authorized to work in the United States. 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent. Extensive personal toolbox for undercar repairs. Preferred: state inspection license(s); ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5). Physical requirements: ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and lift/move items weighing over 50 pounds.
