The Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing is seeking a reliable and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our food service team. The Dietary Aide plays an important role in ensuring our residents receive safe, nutritious, and well-prepared meals in a clean and welcoming environment. Facility: The Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing Location: Southampton, NY Position: Dietary Aide 6 am - 2 pm and 12 pm - 8 pm Schedule: Full-Time Pay Rate: $21.38 per hour What You'll Do Deliver food carts and meal trays to resident dining areas and units. Assist with meal and tray service while ensuring residents receive the correct meals and portions. Work on the tray line , preparing and assembling resident meal trays according to established menus and portion requirements. Follow proper food handling, serving, and sanitation procedures. Assist with dishwashing, pot washing, and kitchen cleaning . Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dietary department, kitchen, and equipment. Assist with daily kitchen and food service duties as assigned. Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and facility policies . Work cooperatively with dietary staff, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure timely meal service. Provide courteous and respectful service to residents and staff. Requirements Previous food service, dietary, kitchen, restaurant, or healthcare experience preferred. Knowledge of proper food handling and serving methods . Knowledge of food sanitation and safety practices . Ability to follow menus, portion guidelines, and dietary instructions. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must demonstrate a professional, respectful, and compassionate approach when interacting with residents. Long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare dietary experience is a plus.
