Neurologist

Unity Health Network, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Physician in Neurology to join their team in Akron, OH. Practice Info Outpatient neurology with minimal call and light rounding Large referring base with backing through the Optum Centers of Excellence network Practice would consist of 6-8 clinicians (Physicians and Advanced Practitioners) Ancillary services include Sleep, Neuro Diagnostics, Infusion, and Neuro Psych Team-based approach to best patient outcomes through value-based care Practice medicine autonomously in an ambulatory setting partnering with primary care Responsibilities Orders lab studies and imaging when indicated Identifies differential diagnosis and assesses severity of patient's illness and establishes need/time for patient evaluation Consults with other health team members regarding proposed treatment guidelines as necessary Implements plan in safe and effective manner Utilizes sound judgment in the establishment of priorities in patient's care and management Records visit in concise, clear, logical manner Evaluates effectiveness of implemented plan Compensation Competitive Compensation ESPP (Employee Stock Purchase Plan) Partnership Track 401K: Robust Retirement Package (including employer funded contributions) The salary range for this role is $250,500 to $440,500 annually based on full-time employment Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement Incentive and recognition programs Equity stock purchase Benefits Full-Time Benefits options (to be selected annually) Optum Credit Union Dedicated CME time and allowance Paid Time Off (PTO) based on FTE Holiday time-off including a personal day of your choice Comprehensive benefits package Shift & Schedule Full-Time (1.0 FTE) working 5 days per week (40 hours) with some Telemedicine Requirements Unrestricted medical licensure in the state of Ohio, or ability to obtain Board Certified in Neurology as a M.D. or D.O. DEA license for Ohio, or willing to obtain prior to start Light rounding at hospital Maintenance of privileges with no hospital restrictions where procedures will be performed Preferred: At least 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably in Neurology Preferred: Experience working within a team-based model of care (collaborative) Preferred: Fluency and adaptability in EMR systems & technology Preferred: Experience in Neuro, Sleep Medicine, and/or Movement Disorders, etc. Preferred: Comfortability making decisions, creating care plans, and designating responsibilities
